Zeitwerk, 142.031

The second generation Zeitwerk from German manufacturer A. Lange & Söhne, the first being launched in 2009 and winning the ‘Oscar’s’ of the watch awards in the same year, remarkable considering it was a German watch in a Swiss competition.

Fast forward to 2022 the second generation of the Zeitwerk is released, here in pink gold, cast to 41.9mm in diameter and 12.9mm thick. Paired to a beautiful black leather strap bolstered for additional comfort, whilst the exhibition case back houses the impressive L043.6 manually wound movement.

Beneath The striking appearance often described as mechanical and digital, is  patented L043.6 movement with 3 jumping numeral displays - displaying hours and minutes in large numerals, the constant force escapement triggers the process after precisely 60 seconds and the change occurs in fractions of a second the new refined movement Impressively Doubles the power reserve of the previous generation to 72 hours.

The deep black dial contrasts perfectly against the pink gold case and silver ‘time bridge' separating the hours and minutes display. The reworked dial gives more space to the seconds dial. Up top the display is completed by the power reserve indicator. 

Our 142.031 Zeitwerk is offered in like new condition with only a couple of very minor handling marks. The watch is presented as a complete set with 2023 dated Lange bookpack, and original Lange box set.
