The Story
Being in production for over 50 years, the Royal Oak range is the collection is one that Audemars Piguet is most famous for from their instantly recognisable shape. ‘Fathered’ by Gerald Genta in 1972, with design cues taken from deep sea divers helmets, the Royal Oak range was hugely impactful on the industry and remains popular today.
To celebrate the significant 50th anniversary of the Royal Oak collection, Audemars Piguet launched a small number of special edition watches to commemorate this anniversary. One of which being the chronograph range, reference 26240ST. A new movement (4401) exhibits the beautiful 50th anniversary rotor through the larger exhibition case-back. A sight that is certainly something to behold.
Our 2022 mint example is combined here with the stunning blue dial, a wonderful contrast with the stainless steel. Offered as a full set, complete with warranty card, book pack, and box. The watch also includes Audemars Piguet's extended warranty until 2027.
